The role is a foundational piece of a highly visible, business facing team focused on aligning strategic objectives with tactical demands in the cannabis industry, one of the fastest growing and most innovative industries in the US. ResponsibilitiesLead the automation of cloud environment provisioning through pipeline engineering, utilizing tools like Terraform, Chef, and PuppetConduct research and develop high-quality automation workflows for our cloud platforms, tailored to Green Thumb's business and ecological technology strategiesCollaborate with teams to strategize, consult, and prototype, promoting best practices and innovative solutions for applications within the CI/CD pipeline and the cloud frameworkStay abreast of emerging technologies and architectures, and advocate for their integration into current and future projectsDevelop and execute test plans that align with 24/7 uptime requirements, ensuring systems are robust, scalable, and resilientCraft preventative automation and standards to mitigate production infrastructure incidentsSpearhead the implementation of monitoring toolsDrive the development of compliance automation and policy-as-code to ensure efficient cloud governanceExperience in DevOps and CloudOps environments, demonstrating an understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices and toolsDeliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers, aiming for excellence in serviceCommunicate effectively about project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and managementManage conflicts involving timelines, budgets, and project scope autonomously, escalating complex issues when necessaryGuide changes through proper review and approval channelsCreate, test, and deploy innovative software solutions to enhance service performance, efficiency, and securityThrive in an agile development environment and contribute to enhancing customer experience through improved tools and servicesStackFrontend: React, Next.js, Composable / Atomic DesignBackend: Node.js, TypeScript, ServerlessArchitecture: Microservices based, API first, Cloud-native SaaS, Headless Qualifications 4+ years of cloud technology experience demonstrating progressive professional developmentAWS associate certification (Cloud Engineer, Cloud DevOps Engineer, Developer, Solution Architect, SysOps Administrator Associate) and/or relevant experience preferredProficient in IaaS and PaaS services on AWS/GCPWell-versed in Infrastructure-as-Code and associated technologies (e.g., repos, pipelines, Terraform)Skilled in using application monitoring tools like DataDog or DynatraceA strong inclination towards automation in all operational tasksBackground in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roleAdditional RequirementsMust pass any and allrequired background checks Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry Must be a minimum of 21 years of age#LI-HYBRID
