We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Manager of Communications to lead our efforts in keeping our content fresh, engaging, and aligned with our brand's voice. This pivotal role involves orchestrating the voice of mental health advocates and elevating our organization's authority in transforming the conversation around mental health. The ideal candidate will directly report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will manage a talented team, including a Social Media Manager and a Senior Associate of Communications & Storytelling. The role demands collaboration across departments to craft and share our compelling story.

Key Responsibilities
Network Communication & Engagement (45%)
Curate and manage the editorial calendar focusing on content strategy, creation, and distribution aligned with organizational goals.
Lead a team to produce and disseminate content across various channels, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to high standards.
Develop audience-segmented content strategies to effectively engage and support our community's mental health advocacy efforts.
Innovate and maintain a relatable and authentic voice across all communications.
Project Management & Marketing Communications Liaison (40%)
Spearhead cross-team marketing and communications projects, ensuring strategic alignment and execution.
Serve as a key representative in meetings, coordinating with the marketing and communications team to meet project deliverables.
Collaborate closely with leadership to achieve organizational objectives and marketing goals.
Lead issue campaigns and represent the organization with external stakeholders as needed.
Executive Communications (10%)
Support in positioning the organization as a thought leader by crafting content for senior leadership on various storytelling platforms.
Assist in crisis response and communication strategies in collaboration with PR.
Contribute to the annual Impact Report and draft executive speeches as requested.
Additional Responsibilities (5%)
Actively engage in our Anti-Racism and Inclusion initiatives.
Collaborate with the Leadership Team and undertake other duties as assigned.
About You
A genuine people person with a knack for storytelling and a belief in the transformative power of communication.
An experienced writer and communicator, capable of multitasking across various projects with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
Passionate about equity, social justice, and the impact of youth and young adults in social entrepreneurship.
Required: 5-7 years of experience in nonprofit marketing and communications, including direct management experience.
