Security Engineer Intern

Developing and maintaining our company's security posture Protecting our SaaS application hosted on AWS Ways to improve our vulnerability management program How to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our internal network Location: The preferred location for this position is near our Herndon, VA office which may involve an occasional in-person meeting in the office with our adjacent teams. Remote candidates will be considered if located on the East Coast.
What you'll Need: Pursuing Bachelor's Degree for Information/Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Demonstrated experience, either through coursework, previous work, or self-study, in one or more of the following areas:
Scripting and coding to automate systems and security administration tasks (e.g. using a language such as Python) Identifying, assessing, and remediating security vulnerabilities in web applications Experience working with AWS, Azure, Cisco networking, and a mixture of Microsoft and Linux technologies Knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, and cryptography Vbrick is an equal opportunity employer.
