Resident Assistant

SUMMARY This job requires successful completion of our internal CNA Training class within 30 days of hire with licensure completed 120 days following class completion.
Provides basic personal service to residents/patients under the direction and supervision of an RN, LPN, or LVN.
POSITION OVERVIEW The primary responsibility of the Resident Assistant position is to meet the daily personal care needs of residents with professionalism, dignity and respect following the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern assisted living communities. You are entrusted to ensure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Helps residents maintain a neat, orderly, and comfortable room by making beds, assisting with clothing, filling water pitchers, etc. Assists residents in moving through the facility by pushing the wheelchair. Makes up unoccupied beds. Responds to call lights to determine residents' needs. Performs other duties as assigned. ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS Sufficient education to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
High School diploma or GED (preferred).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Must be able to push, pull, move, and /or lift a minimum of 25# to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet. May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
