Position Highlights
The Research Technician will assist in facilitating research studies which require the application of scientific knowledge to conduct and manage experiments in a research laboratory setting. They will work collaboratively with lab's principle investigator, related researchers as well as independently on the assigned research projects. The candidate should posses the desired skills of basic research experiment management and handling equipment, instruments, and other lab based devices to successfully support the principle investigator and other ACABI Researchers.
The Research Technician will capture, assimilate and share information and data related to the studies with he study team, and will prepare reports and presentations of results obtained through experiments. The Research Technician also helps to assure the validity of the results obtained by ensuring the operational condition of scientific equipment, maintaining protocols and SOP's, and managing the efficient use of the centers resources.

Duties & Responsibilities Research Experiment Support and Assistance:
Assists in and coordinates laboratory research work including the direct execution of experiments and research activities with PI and other ACABI researchers. Contributes to research method discussion and collaborates in the development of new techniques, methods to complete the research task at hand. Evaluates current processes to ensure they are easily facilitated to meet current research goals. Publication & Grant Proposal Support:
Participates in the acquisition, analysis and delivery of research data for the ACABI senior research team. Reviews journals, books or chapter publications for relative content. Present and co-present results with principal investigators at meetings or conferences. Project/Lab Management:
Assist in the execution of multiple research projects in line with research plan.  Ensures availability of all materials, supplies, and resources, and that an adequate amount is available to facilitate all designated work. Assists in the formulates research methods in accordance with the standards of peer reviewed journals and industry affiliates.  Establishes timelines to ensure completion of assigned work to meet the requirements of the centers research obligations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Ability to manage work effort effectively, and organize, set priorities, and schedule to meet research goals.  Ability to plan and self direct their day-to-day work to meet job function standards and outcomes.  Expected to propose solutions to problems for manager review, requiring innovation and creativity. Can routinely interact with peers and management team. Exchanges information with other team members to perform role and achieve objectives. May coordinate own work with that of other work groups. Ability to work under minimal guidance and assigned in the form of desired expectations. Ability to use independent judgment and follow given approach to achieve maximum results. Should possess complete knowledge of all job functions, best research practices, techniques and standards. Exhibits ability to transfer knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts to work-group. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required. Three (3) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience FLSA: Non-Exempt
