Regional Sales Manager

This is a rare opportunity to join a large and established wire & cable manufacturer in an Eastern Regional Sales Manager role. It's an exciting time as the company continues to be in growth mode.
The successful RSM will specialize in wire & cable products focusing on the commercial and residential segments. The territory can be modified to fit the candidate's residency, but could stretch from MI to ME to FL to MS. Residency is flexible throughout the territory but must be near a major airport.
Candidates ideally must have outside/regional/national sales experience in the electrical industry. The ideal background comes from working for a wire and cable manufacturer, cable reseller, or manufacturer's rep. However, we would be open to someone with a solid history selling standard electrical products working for a manufacturer, rep or distributor.
You will work closely with existing manufacturer's reps throughout the territory while maintaining and growing the relationships with electrical wholesale distributors.
Other typical duties:
· Joint sales calls with reps and distributors
· Counter days/lunch and learns
· Identify sales opportunities
· Offer technical solutions
· Product presentations
· Trade shows
We need someone who can work independently, but also work as part of a nationwide team. ~50%+ travel depending upon residency.
