Purchasing Specialist , working in

Manufacturing

industry in

Chicago .
Responsible for selecting suppliers, negotiating and administering long-term contracts, monitoring supplier performance, placing orders to suppliers, developing a responsive supplier base, and maintaining good supplier relations.

Experience Required for Your Success

High school diploma or GED
At least 2 years in purchasing/procurement
Experience with purchase orders and sourcing for suppliers
Experience buying small parts, MRO material, large industrial parts for machinery, or services for the plant
Experience with RFP (Request For Proposal) process
Advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel
