JOB SUMMARY:
The project manager will manage multiple New Product Development (NPD) projects while acting as the interface between the product group and suppliers Project Management: Work closely with the Supplier Base as well as Marketing, Quality and Supply Chain teams to bring to market a wide range of product portfolios in the outdoor power equipment industry. Monitor progress on all New Product Development (NPD) programs and work with various suppliers to ensure products are delivered on time, on cost, on spec
Regularly present engineered project status, schedule updates, and financial updates to stakeholders. Set deliverables, project timelines, and report status to team leaders. Ability to manage a large quantity of programs at once. Ability to advise suppliers on product design, manufacturing, cost, schedules. Effectively identify and communicate major technical and schedule issues to team leaders in a clear, concise, and timely manner while driving appropriate actions to remedy the issues. Other: Support daily communication Ensuring all projects have the proper documentation conforming to the NPD process Ensuring all cross functions are properly documenting progress on NPD programs Support sourcing team during supplier audits. Develop resource plans. Ability to proactively manage risk. Manage cross functional relationships across the business to support standardization and product development Develop and improve business and department processes. Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in a Business or Engineering Field 3+ years experience developing consumer products Knowledge in some or all the following areas: small gas engines, generators, pressure washers, batteries, battery systems
