The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has impacted how and where we do our work. We currently work remotely but in the future, we anticipate this position will work from the office on certain days, possibly full-time, or as part of a hybrid model with in-office and remote work.
Description of Job This position exists to support the Eligibility and Enrollment Unit within the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) under HIO. This is accomplished by coordinating projects on a variety of initiatives related to the Department's MES systems, managing processes by leveraging the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodology and Department EPMO standards to ensure that program, systems, and/or operations are supported appropriately.
Responsibilities in this position include:
Support the assigned Project Manager and project team in all facets of assigned projects by defining, planning, documenting, managing, and monitoring the project scope of work, schedule, procurements, budget, requirements, operations, risks, issues, quality, decisions, communication needs, and resource needs through the full project management lifecycle.
Interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often participating in the management and controlling of several projects simultaneously.
Provide detailed organizational coordination and project support to the Project Manager, Department staff, program SMEs, and operations. Position keeps Project Manager, EPMO Supervisor, EPMO Manager, and Office Director informed of the progress on assigned projects.
Assist with the creation, monitoring and maintenance of project tools, templates, trainings, forms, APDs and contracts.
Participate in compliance activities, conducts research to support regulatory activities, and makes recommendations based on research and analysis.
Achieve the responsibilities of the projects to which they have been assigned and for ensuring effective support is delivered to projects within the Office.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Management, Public Health, Project Management or a field of study related to the work assignment AND two years of professional experience facilitating, managing, and scribing meetings and coordinating project stakeholders, experience in identifying and tracking action items, issues, and risks, and experience in identifying, managing, monitoring, and controlling project scope, objectives, and requirements. Substitutions: A combination of work experience in the occupational field or specialized subject area of the work assigned to the job, which provided the same kind, amount, and level of knowledge acquired in the required education, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the bachelor's degree.

A master's or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study related to the work assignment may be substituted for the bachelor's degree and at the agency's discretion, one or two years of general experience respectively.

Preferred Qualifications : Prior State experience related to the position Experience conducting research and drafting documents such as business proposals or white papers Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred or the ability to obtain within 6 months Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels, with the ability to maintain effective relationships and partnerships with a diverse group of stakeholders Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Project and SharePoint Ability to set and prioritize workload, develop a work plan with tasks, time frames, milestones, resources, and dependencies Strong communication skills, verbal and written, and Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed, while possessing the ability to work in a team environment. DEFINITION OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Work that involves exercising discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, and sharing an organized body of knowledge that characteristically is uniquely acquired through an intense education or training regimen at a recognized college or university; equivalent to the curriculum requirements for a bachelor's or higher degree with major study in or pertinent to the specialized field; and continuously studied to explore, extend, and use additional discoveries, interpretations, and application and to improve data, materials, equipment, applications and methods.
