Job Description: Position Overview
Develops, implements and manages all aspects of merchandising strategies and plans for an assigned segment, line of business, and/or region within the grain group. Key Responsibilities Manages the assigned merchandising team's efforts in maximizing sell-side position, trading volume and gross profit. Develops and manages cash merchandising and sell-side relationships for all commodities in an assigned region. Identifies, manages, and communicates price/bid information for assigned areas. Communicates with sales and merchandising teams regarding market conditions and trading opportunities in assigned areas. Leads the development and delivery of sales training programs for the assigned segment or line of business. Identifies new and/or modifies existing strategies and/or merchandising methods to meet or exceed volume goals reflected in growth plans. What is expected of you and others at this level Has deep understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market or the needs/challenges of assigned accounts Develops colleagues' and customers' understanding Recognized as an expert in one or more areas Complexity is extremely high (territory/account, product/services, sales or account management process); serves as a team lead Has extremely high authority and opportunity to set and negotiate product and service terms Minimum Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred 7-10 years' relevant experience required
