Production Supervisor A Production Supervisor is needed for our client's first shift (Monday - Friday) due to an increase in business and expansion Eventually, this role will become a Production Manager for 1st shift Multiple high-speed plastic extrusion lines are managed and coordinated by the Production Supervisor, who provides leadership, lean initiatives, direction, and facilitation. ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED BILINGUAL SPANISH/ENGLISH REQUIRED The responsibilities Coach production operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedules. Maintain a budget for labour and operating expenses. Ensure safety, quality, and productivity while minimizing waste during production. The site's productivity, quality, safety, health, environmental, and morale goals must be met. Maintain all production records and paperwork. Make sure that all equipment and working conditions in the assigned area are in good working order. Identify improvement opportunities by reviewing and analyzing production records. Recommend long-term solutions, including equipment replacement, refurbishment, procedural changes, productivity improvement, material changes, etc., relating to accountability. Ensure continuous improvement in areas of responsibility through teamwork, skills, and capability development. Recruit, train, evaluate, and develop team members. Manage and facilitate employee-management relationships within the guidelines of the labour contract. The requirements A BA/BS/AAS degree or 5+ years of manufacturing supervision experience is required A minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastics English and Spanish language proficiency is required Coach, mentor, lead, develop, train, and discipline employees as necessary Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices, Kaizen, TPM, and/or other continuous improvement methods Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel Remote Work : No
