This includes supervising the manufacturing employees and day-to-day production needs within the department, assisting other production departments and working with groups implementing projects and programs targeted at improving the manufacturing operations. The successful incumbent will motivate employees with a strong, positive attitude and work with or lead problem solving teams.3rd shift Schedule: Sunday evening - Friday morning; Hours 10:30pm - 7:30amYour responsibilities will includePlan and coordinate work assignments based on skills, knowledge, experience, staffing, and equipment to exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets.Coach, support, and utilize front line leadership to enhance the effectiveness of their role. Create and maintain a work environment that promotes employee engagement and continuous improvement, where all employees are treated fairly and consistently.Plan and direct cross-functional work activities to ensure execution of production priorities to include machine maintenance, manufacturing engineering, and quality assurance.Recommend changes to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.Enforce company policies, safety rules and regulations. Meet with manufacturing employees to interpret the policies and help resolve individual issues.Be physically present on the floor as defined by Leader Standard Work.Ensure assigned employees receive required training on company production processes, business systems or changes in products, procedures or services. Monitor and enforce adherence to work instructions for all workstations.Conduct communication meetings including start of shift communication meetings, shift-to-shift handoff meetings, and monthly communication meetings.Maintain required paperwork including safety records, attendance, vacation schedules, scrap reports, and quality reports.
