We are seeking a skilled, preferably bilingual-Spanish, trainer who will strengthen the family support workforce and play a vital role in the prevention of child abuse across the commonwealth.



The Prevention Trainer is responsible for training development, facilitation, technical assistance, trainer development, and trainer evaluation. This position will support ongoing community and partner training, including Child Abuse and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention, Strengthening Families, and other family support and prevention training. Trainings are provided in a variety of modalities and settings including, in-person, virtually, hybrid as part of training, conferences and hosted on learning management systems.
Role Responsibilities:



Design and facilitate training to support statewide child abuse and neglect prevention efforts:
Facilitate ongoing training (virtual, in-person, hybrid, live, and recorded) on prevention topics, including but not limited to child abuse and child sexual abuse prevention, family support, Strengthening Families, and parent education. Develop family-centered, relationship-focused, culturally relevant, and inclusive training modules and delivery methods. Assess the diverse needs of learners, considering learning differences, and utilize varied methods of training instruction and delivery. Oversee the direction, content, delivery, and organization of training content and materials. Stay current on the latest research on prevention, training design, training delivery, and integrate updates to existing and new training curriculum.
Implement ongoing evaluation of training program for continuous improvement:
Develop, manage, and improve data collection system for collecting data on conducted trainings, audience demand, feedback, and staff receiving the training. Establish and implement an evaluation system for both training programs and trainers, defining criteria to measure impact and providing constructive feedback for improvement. Analyze collected data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Actively observe and evaluate trainers, identifying areas for improvement. Compile and present evaluation and assessments findings to trainers, staff, and stakeholders.
Conduct technical assistance and implementation support:
Provide in person and virtual trainer support through initiatives such as train-the-trainer sessions, community training programs, and engagement with contracted trainers. Observes, analyzes, and makes recommendations on training implementation in the field. Develop and facilitate ongoing communities of practice for trainers, staff, and other audiences. Provide support through initiatives such as train-the-trainer sessions, community training programs, and engagement with contracted trainers.
Consult with staff and partners around training best practices:
Assist in the development, design, and production of training for different audiences in different environments (live, recorded, and online). Support the design, development, and implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS) and provide feedback, develop, and evaluate ongoing curriculum. Use and integrate data collection with learning management system. Collaborate with management staff on expansion efforts and strategic goal planning.
Support the strategic goals and priorities of the Prevention and Family Support Training Team.
Participate in the event planning and day of operations of statewide trainings, conferences, and events, including A View from All Sides, Children's Trust's annual family support conference Represent the Children's Trust on advisory councils and workgroups, as assigned Provide insight on training issues and effects on program implementation to ensure all issues are considered in program planning. Participate in development and review of policies and strategies for CSAP programs. Attend weekly FS Training Team meetings to identify technical assistance needs and program challenges

Preferred Qualifications:


Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Experience delivering training to participants with a diverse range of experience and education Knowledge of adult learning principals Knowledge of the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, specifications, standards and guidelines governing Children's Trust operations. Knowledge of child abuse prevention programs, resources, and partners statewide Knowledge of state accounting and budgetary procedures including terminology. Knowledge of event management and planning. Ability to develop training curriculum and materials Strengths-based mindset and approach to working with families Knowledge of child sexual abuse prevention, family support, and/or parent education Experience in the family support workforce Experience with Learning Management Systems Ability to establish positive relationships with diverse stakeholders and staff Ability to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion Strong oral, written communication, and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills Ability to prepare and analyze charts, graphs, and tables. Knowledge of the methods of general report writing. Ability to understand, explain, apply and follow laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, specifications, standards, and guidelines Ability to gather, analyze and determine the applicability of data, to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Ability to maintain accurate records. Professionalism

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.


Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.*


II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*


III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*


Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
