Summary The Payroll Administrator will assist the Payroll Manager with administering the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with federal, state and local government regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities: Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner on a weekly and bi-weekly basis for 500+ multi-state employees. Maintain employee payroll related records in ADP (Always Designing for People); information may include employees' hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholdings, address changes, and other information. Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, 401k contributions, and other deductions. Research variances/inquiries and maintain payroll mailboxes for payroll department. Processes wage garnishments. Assists with processing accurate and timely quarter and year-end adjustments, when necessary. Reviews/approves quarterly tax returns and year-end W-2s. Process certified payroll reports as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Understanding of payroll related processes and labor practices. Detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and mathematical aptitude. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient with ADP Work Force Now or the ability to quickly learn payroll software. Work Environment Remote position Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Two+ years of experience with payroll processing required. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
