Senior level position that sandblasts, cleans and paints compressors and all other equipment as directed with limited supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operates cleaning equipment and prepares equipment for painting Ability to mix all types of paint systems and applies these to customer and company specifications Operate sandblast equipment to customer and company specifications Masks and feathers old paint in preparation for new paint. Must have knowledge of required tools and maintenance care Completes all paint compliance logs Completes Dry Film Thickness (DFT) readings, Psychrometer readings and Surface Temperature readings Follows all relevant HSSE guidelines Promotes and supports safety, production and positive attitude Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department Troubleshoot and provide solution to manufacturing issues Verify paint thickness and blast anchor patterns Requires employee to rarely type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as a copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc. Requires frequent operation of heavy equipment such as forklift and scissor lift Participate in continuous improvement activities Participates in group discussions and meetings Maintains equipment and clean work area Preferred Education High school diploma Required Experience & Skills 5 years related experience Troubleshooting and providing technical recommendations Ability to communicate in English Required Training & Certifications Certified to drive a forklift Physical Demands Requires employee to stand for at least 90% of the time Requires employee to sit for at least 10% of the time Requires employee to constantly inspect and paint equipment, climb stairs or ladders and must be able to maintain balance on stairs or ladders without assistance. Must be able to communicate and respond to coworkers and emergency cues/alarms, in person and on the telephone, including use of mobile devices Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Requires work in outdoor conditions, including all weather conditions & unairconditioned facility Requires work on loud environment Requires moving and maintaining self constantly in different positions, stoop, kneel, crouch to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces Must wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, helmets, face shields, hearing protection, safety goggles, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, fall protection as applicable.
