Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Machine Designer)Department: EngineeringReports To: Engineering ManagerJob Summary: This position provides mechanical solutions for Autotec Machines which are developed to solve our customers' problems. This individual must be an analytical thinker and must be disciplined in applying robust design methodologies and engineering principles to develop and realize solutions, both for new machines and to improve existing machines.Duties and Responsibilities:Creates, coordinates and monitors all aspects of production, fabrication and product designPerforms engineering assignments related to design and analysis for packaging equipment and line systemsOptimizes new systems and upgrades to existing processes and facilitiesDevelops reliability protocols and reportsWorks with maintenance team to develop and implement preventative maintenance processesAssists in field work, checking installations, and problem-solving activities.Interacts with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent informationKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:BS in Mechanical Engineering.Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of SolidWorks.Strong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsWorks precisely and pays close attention to detailsGood mechanical aptitude and knowledgeProficient with the Microsoft Office Suite productsAdvanced organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslySelf-motivated and able to work independently and must be able to interface directly with other engineers.Willing to travel to customer locations.
