Location: Batavia, IL Schedule: FULL-TIME (HYBRID AFTER TRAINING) Start: ASAP - Direct Hire Pay Rate: BASED ON LEVEL OF EXP $85K - $100K Base salary + Benefits (medical, dental, and vision insurance and company-paid life insurance, PTO + educational reimbursement/assistance program, 401(k)) SUMMARY:


Role Overview: As the Latin American/Mexico Material & Product Procurement Manager, you will work closely with the product management team and play a critical role in developing and executing our sourcing strategy for the region
You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding suppliers and manufacturers in Mexico and other LATAM countries to support our business objectives
Your ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure product quality and compliance will be essential to our success.


Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive product sourcing strategy with the product management team for Mexico and other key LATAM markets to ensure a diverse and reliable supplier base
• Identify, assess, and qualify potential suppliers and manufacturers, considering factors such as quality, cost, reliability, logistics and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings, mitigate risks, and optimize supply chain efficiency
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including product management, engineering and logistics teams, to support new product launches and ongoing supply chain operations
• Regularly assess supplier performance, assess quality levels, conduct audits, address any issues or discrepancies and drive continuous improvement
• Stay informed about political developments, trade policies and regulatory changes in sourcing countries and develop contingency plans to address potential disruption in supply chain
• Manage relationships with key suppliers and serve as primary point of contact for any sourcing-related inquiries or issues
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities


Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
• 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in product sourcing, procurement, and managing third party suppliers, preferably with coated metal products
• Deep understanding of sourcing principles, procurement best practices, and supply chain dynamics in Mexico and other LATAM countries
• Proven track record of successfully identifying and developing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and achieving cost savings targets
• Excellent project management skills ability to influence across departments
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Spanish; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus
• Willingness to travel within Mexico and other LATAM countries as needed
