Job Description SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineering Staff Leader will ensure reliability and consistency among daily operations of the TDI plant. They will impact the team's ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness of objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role, and high levels of manufacturing process and operational judgment are required to achieve strategic outcomes.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesProvide people leadership and direction to manage manufacturing readiness for product launch and continuous improvement efforts throughout the siteMaintain direct ownership of cost out pipeline/execution, Lean, MRL, and P&E planningInterface with Quality team on manufacturing readinessDefine and control production process including tooling and equipmentDevelop annual manufacturing engineering strategyUse high levels of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, and/or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information provided and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters, including constructing and providing recommendations.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Quality EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Quality EngineeringMinimum of 3 years of experience leading peopleDesired CharacteristicsExperience leading salaried and technical employeesAviation/Aerospace industry experienceExperience with Lean manufacturing deploymentExperience collaborating and influencing across a matrix environmentThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
