What External Reporting contributes to Cardinal Health External Reporting is responsible for the preparation and review of financial information to be released outside of the organization as well as for the research, interpretation, and communication of complex accounting matters.
This is a manager role of international accounting and external reporting overseeing US GAAP accounting activities as well as the statutory financial statement reporting compliance process in international jurisdictions within our Medical Segment. This role has monthly US GAAP and local GAAP responsibilities for various international jurisdictions.
Responsibilities Playing a key role in managing the accounting relationship with logistic service providers and teams in various countries. This includes overseeing the reporting utilized for month end close processes and serving as the accounting point of escalation for questions and issue resolution and communicating internally to impacted business partners and teams.
Working closely with the finance teams responsible for Direct Market and Channel Partnership entities in Europe. Responsibilities include participating in daily close calls and tracking key processes/results to ensure timely and accurate month end close. In addition, overseeing many region specific centralized processes (Gross to net accruals, region bonus accruals, unique one time transactions, etc)
Managing the US GAAP accounting close and statutory responsibilities for various entities, including a complex entity within Europe that is the distributor within the region to import products and distribute them to various commercial entities around the globe. Key unique responsibilities include FX analysis and cash research and analysis.
Performing trend analysis and reviewing monthly activity for US GAAP close processes.
Working with third party firms to complete US GAAP and local GAAP close activities and holding them accountable to high performance and meeting project deadlines. This includes working with local accounting teams in various jurisdictions to complete a local GAAP TB and statutory financial statements. This role also includes working with external auditors for entities that require statutory audits.
Reviewing US GAAP to local GAAP account reconciliations (G2S Rec) and statutory financial statements.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
8+ years experience in related field preferred
Prior supervisory experience
CPA preferred
