Responsibilities This posting is for a IT Senior Business Analyst on the Ticket Workflow team within the Global Booking Orchestration (GBO) department. The Ticket Workflow team is responsible for the development and production support of orchestration services that support our consumer websites and mobile applications for Enterprise, National, and Alamo. The Business Analyst will provide the opportunity to work with product owners as new features are requested for the consumer booking channels.
The IT Senior Business Analyst is responsible for developing, interpreting, reviewing, validating, documenting, and maintaining business and functional requirements. This position evaluates business requests to determine feasibility, researches and identifies options, and recommends solutions that best serve business needs. The Business Analyst also presents information and tracks and responds to questions related to business standards. In addition, this position participates in acceptance testing, identifies potential problems, and researches opportunities to minimize customer impact. The IT Senior Business Analyst serves as the primary interface between the user and the IT team.
Areas of Responsibility
Participates on project teams and uses basic knowledge of professional concepts and company objectives to resolve simple to moderately complex issues creatively and effectively. Develops, interprets, reviews, validates, documents, and maintains business and functional requirements. Coordinates and facilitates meetings to define key capabilities and requirements that will enable stakeholders to define business strategy. Evaluate business requests to determine feasibility; researches and identifies options that best serve business needs. Serves as the primary interface between the user, Product Development and the IT team. Conducts structured walkthroughs of requirements with business and project team members. Presents information regarding enhancements, tracks and responds to questions from business and IT team members. Identifies potential problems that may arise with new or enhanced applications; effectively communicates how problems will affect business. Assists with researching opportunities to minimize complexity by leveraging current IT investments and seeking out cost effective solutions. Participates in change management activities, including Q&A testing, troubleshooting, and investigation. Assists with task automation and process improvements as directed.
