Location:   This position is hybrid and can be based anywhere in Colorado. Must have the ability to travel to the Colorado Springs and Denver area as needed.

Our donors, shoppers, program participants and employees embody Goodwill's vision: We transform people's lives.   JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Innovation and Insights to lead our consumer, shopper and donor Insights that are grounded in deep understanding of our brand, shoppers, donors, competition, programs, retail, cultural trends, and market dynamics.
The Manager will help us build and maintain a best-in-class capability and be seen by our internal partners as a strategic partner who will drive innovation and marketing programs which are grounded in customer data and insights. This person will develop and deliver actionable information about the shopper, donor, trends and insights. 
The Manager will execute our corporate and business marketing strategies and will need to be comfortable getting into the weeds and being hands-on with the data. The ideal candidate is a strategic, collaborative leader who blends deep consumer insights expertise with a strong propensity towards innovation. This role requires strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, business acumen, a hands-on approach, and a passion for our mission.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Project Specific
The Manager, Innovation & Insights Marketing & Communication is responsible for the following:
• Actively uses research methods such as: shop-alongs, shopper and donor journeys, concept testing, shopper and donor decision trees, etc. 
• Builds and executes multi-category, multi-retailer shopper and donor research that drives relevant and engaging customer experience. 
• Create KPI's and results/impact dashboard that is continually updated, refined, and shared with leadership and internal partners. 
• Communicates actionable, unbiased recommendations on how to move the business forward by delivering solutions that surprise and delight the shopper and donor customers. 
• Ability to fully manage DIY shopper surveys including questionnaire writing, survey programming, data analysis, and actionable insights-generation.
• Proactively search, summarize, and democratize secondary research, trends and foresight to drive thought leadership and marketing plans.
• Use data to influence and drive marketing strategy, innovation, and reinvention. 
• Produces high-quality, visual-appealing, presentations and dashboards.
• Comfort in presenting findings and recommendations to all levels (i.e., up to executive level) cross-functional partners.
• Ensures research projects are designed to ask the right research question and address important business issues. 
• Leads ideation sessions with internal stakeholders & consumers to identify white space opportunities & optimize innovations. 
• Drive the brands' external focus through a deep understanding and analysis of the competitive environment, key consumers, market and category trends to develop successful growth strategies. 
• Monitor market, consumer, competitive trends to identify opportunities and risks for the business.
• Develop a strong understanding of organization goals and objectives, target audiences, and business drivers. 
• Use various tools such as Placerai and Hubspot.
• Collaborate effectively with internal marketing team, and other key stakeholders.
• Measure and analyzing campaign performance and leveraging insights for campaign optimization.
• Manage projects from inception through execution, mapping steps, aligning resources, and elevating roadblocks as necessary to ensure on-strategy, on-time, on-budget delivery. 
• Manages and acts as the main point of contact for Goodwill of Colorado Education and Training programs: Excel Centers, Workforce development; Bankwork$, LIFT and any others. 
• Contributes and participates in special events such as the Annual Dinner, An Enchanted Weekend, fundraisers, grand openings, open houses, board/staff events, etc.
• Participates in at least two educational events (webinars, workshops, conferences, etc.) annually that provide greater understanding of the customer insights and innovation field.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field.
Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in shopper insights, preferably within consumer products. 
• Retail marketing experience preferred. 
• Broad based experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, with the ability to design and deploy research from the ground up. Experience programming and analyzing surveys within DIY survey platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and computer software proficiency (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.)
• Prior experience analyzing retailer data and presenting key findings and recommendations.
• Experience tailoring communications to different audiences and communicating to stakeholders: leadership, cross-functional team members, and business partners. 
• Proficiency with CRM, experience managing HubSpot is preferred. 
Other:
• Deep familiarity with syndicated data metrics and software.
• Proven ability to analyze and identify insights from multiple data sources.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to form strategic recommendations and program optimizations based on data, industry trends, and best practices.
• Superb cross functional collaborator with the ability to build strong working relationships and drive innovation based on insights.
• Willingness to embrace a culture of continuous learning and drive innovation in an evolving organization.
