We operate a network of pipelines, compressor stations, treating facilities, and gas processing plants.
The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and safety conscious I/E Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by providing technical support and maintenance for our instrumentation, electrical, and control systems.
Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, electrical equipment, and control systems. Install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain a variety of electronic and pneumatic instrumentation and control systems, including: Flow, temperature, level and pressure measurement devices Control valves and actuators Motor controls and switchgear Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and SCADA Systems Electronic analyzers and distribution systems Electrical and mechanical systems (motors, pumps, switches) Safety shutdowns, alarms, and process controls Interpret and utilize piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), electrical schematics and one-line diagrams. Assist with the development of scopes of work and cost estimates for projects. Specify necessary materials and instrumentation to ensure efficient operations. Maintain accurate and timely records in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Participate in the planning and execution of maintenance and shutdown activities, including preparing equipment, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Collaborate with other technicians, operations personnel, and contractors to optimize equipment performance, troubleshoot recurring issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reliability. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company procedures. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all work performed. Respond to emergency call-outs to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions. Will be required to travel to various company locations. Qualifications: Minimum of 2-year associate's degree in Instrumentation Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field or 5 years equivalent experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a midstream oil and gas environment or a similar industrial setting (preferred) Proven experience working in a midstream oil and gas environment or a similar industrial setting Strong understanding of instrumentation, electrical, and control systems principles Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of electronic and pneumatic equipment Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Proficient in reading and interpreting maintenance procedures, P&IDs, electrical schematics and one line diagrams, including knowledge of relevant codes and standards (E.g., NEC, API, ISA). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills A valid driver's license Strong commitment to safety with a familiarity of safety practices and regulations related to hazardous environments, such as OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and respond to after-hours call-outs as needed.
