Details of the offer

The full-time HR Generalist position manages our human resources functions, including employee and seasonal volunteer recruitment; hiring; orienting new employees and volunteers; working with DMC leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures; assisting with resolving conflict; and managing staff housing assignments. 
The HR Generalist must live at DMC or near enough to work onsite at least 2-3 days per week.
Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesWorking with various departments to develop staffing plansRecruiting employees and volunteersManaging arrivals, departures, and orientations for staff and volunteersDeveloping, maintaining, communicating, and administering policies and proceduresWorking with various departments to develop and maintains current position descriptionsEnsuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment lawAdministering staff housing and vehicle assignmentsAssisting departmental managers with supervisory and managerial skill buildingResolving conflictPreferred Knowledge and Skills2 Years experience in Human Resources, preferably in a not for profit organizationStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work with challenging situations and develop creative solutions to problemsAbility to maintain strict confidentialityIdeal candidate will have past experience with Drala Mountain Center or knowledge of the center's historyCompensation and Benefits40 hours per weekCompensation based on experience and whether one lives at DMC or commutesOn land: $16.00-18.00 per hourOff land: $19.50-$24.00 per hourIf choosing to live at DMC, low-cost housing and meal plan required (currently a combined $375.00 per month)Participation in DMC's Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Leave program (estimated 10 days of PTO accrued in first year of employment, 12 days in second year, 15 days in third and fourth years, 20 days in fifth and subsequent years)Free participation in staff classes and programsTo apply, please email resume and letter of interest to
