Responsibilities arrow_right Maintain and update the HRIS including adding new associates, new hire processing and updating salary and accounting changes. Track vacation, quarterly awards, HR training, and time off requests and assist supervisory and managerial associates with related issues. Create, update, and maintain all personnel files in compliance with applicable federal and state rules and regulations. Administer benefit programs by, regularly generating communication and counseling employees/dependents as situations arise. Resolves employee complaints related to health and welfare plans and refer difficult or very complex complaints to manager as needed. Process and file all terminated employee records. Assist and generate HR reporting metrics and end of month reports. Track, maintain and monitor leave of absence and workers compensation claims including documentation in accordance with state and federal laws. Drive a culture of appreciation by administering employee recognition programs and planning company events and activities. Assist in Corporate Human Resource projects with the Global VP of Human Resources as needed. Support the Freudenberg Medical (FM) Talent Management process within the location, ensuring a full succession pipeline, and the development of relevant potentials for future positions. Partner with Talent Acquisition in the recruitment of key/difficult to fill positions within the location. Work closely with General Manager and Corporate HR regarding implementation of HR strategies, such as performance management, annual salary reviews and Learning & Development initiatives. Conduct research into Human Resource programs and activities and recommend changes and/or innovations when desirable. Coordinate and assist in keeping Associates and Management informed of all changes with Human Resource policies as well as counsel with associates on Human Resource policies and personal matters.  Lead in the solutions and appropriate reactions to complaints received from management personnel and associates. Develop and supervise training programs and assist with the administering of new associate orientation and indoctrination programs. Partner with Management in the interpretation of Human Resource policies in the advisement and participation with facility Supervision in disciplinary and/or termination proceedings. Qualifications arrow_right Associate degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experience. Bilingual Spanish highly preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience administration and general human resources activities preferably in a manufacturing environment. A minimum of 3-5 years full-service recruiting experience Ability to present information to a small group. Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources and familiarly with federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Payroll and HRIS systems, preferably Workday, SAP and ADP. Maintain a friendly, positive and approachable demeanor in all situations. Trustworthy, discrete and a high degree of personal integrity to maintain sensitive and confidential information. Strong analytical problem-solving skills.  Excellent negotiation and customer service skills Ability to effectively prioritize and execute projects / tasks in a high-pressure environment while balancing multiple projects and adhering to strict deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information and ideas to diverse audiences. Flexible, open to change and accepting of new unique projects or responsibilities. Desire to continuously learn and stay current on laws, rules, regulations and trends affecting the human resources field. Accurate and attention to detail to ensure accuracy. Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
