Full job description Summit Learning Charter is a blended virtual school that is sponsored by the Estacada School District. We are looking to hire a Full Time Health/Wellness teacher, experienced with Middle Level and High School, to support our growing charter school and amazing school community. Candidate will work with Elementary aged students in weekly IN-Person PE classes.

Job Setting: This position will serve students in our Virtual Academy Program, primarily in grades 6-12. This position will have duties that can be done at home, but the applicant will also need to report to our Eagle Creek location 2 x per week to support our enrichment activities, as well as, 1 friday a month for team meetings.

Excellent communication skills in all forms of communication Strong computer application skills - email, Microsoft Office suite, google drive/ applications Collaborative and team player mindset Problem-solving skills Fun and positive attitude Experience with the education process Eagerness to support young people Ability to motivate A valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check Experience in the customer service environment Some Summer hours may be required Knowledgeable about inclusive practices that make Health and Wellness accessable to all learners Knowledgeable about Oregon Equity Lens Licensed in Mid School / High School : Health/Wellness Duties will include, but not limited to: Participating in student orientations Supporting student success Supporting student retention Collaborating with the educators and program leaders Connecting with and guiding parents Accurately and appropriately interpreting student data Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred Participate in Department and whole school team meetings Grade online curriculum - including core curriculum and elective classes Provide supportive / critical feedback to support growth Contact students for attendance and school progress Provide concrete goal setting and school engagement to improve student outcomes Assist in Study Halls Create and Deliver Amazing Wellness & PE lessons via virtual meeting place!
