Job Description:Soul Rebel, a vibrant and dynamic Caribbean-American fusion restaurant, is seeking a passionate and experienced Full-Time Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our establishment, bringing expertise and enthusiasm to our rum bar. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment, crafting a variety of rum-based cocktails and beverages that complement our unique fusion cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
Masterfully mix, garnish, and serve drinks following our restaurant's standard recipes, with a focus on rum-based cocktails. Engage with customers, taking orders, and making recommendations on both beverages and food pairings. Maintain a thorough knowledge of our rum selections, including their history, production methods, and flavor profiles. Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times. Conduct inventory and restock bar supplies as needed. Comply with all food and beverage regulations, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. Participate in creating new, innovative cocktail recipes to enhance our menu and seasonal offerings. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create a cohesive dining experience that highlights the fusion of Caribbean and American flavors. Handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accurate billing and payment. Resolve any customer complaints or issues with professionalism and a positive attitude. Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bartender, with a strong preference for expertise in rum-based cocktails. Knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks. Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean. Excellent communication skills with a friendly, engaging personality. Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for handling cash and card transactions. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and have any required certifications (e.g., SafeServe, local bartending license).
