Starting Pay: $18.30 plus depending on education and experience
Reporting to: Farm Manager
Department/Location of Position: Morrilton, AR
This position is responsible for assisting the farm meet production goals while promoting safety and well-being of self and other team members. Adheres at all times to Animal Welfare and Bio-Security protocols, guidelines, and procedures at all times.
Essential Responsibilities: Basic sow/gilt handling: feeding/watering/movingOperating machinery and equipmentAssisting with farrowing (birth)Assist with breeding (artificial insemination)Handling and using chemicalsVaccinating and medicating sows and pigletsCleaning, afterbirth, dead pigs, scrapingAbility to use computer equipment: hand held devices and electronic wandsWork with Data Tech on getting info to them, Daily info, CorrectionsTreatment cardsRecording on information on cardsEar taggingSafety meetingsAnimal welfare adherencePower washingScraping feedersCheck feed system and fill linesMaintenance reported to managementStun gun use and maintenanceHousekeeping dutiesAny other tasks asked by Assistant or Manager Required Qualifications: Local to Morrilton AR surrounding areaRegular and reliable transportationBasic math & computer skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.Attention to detail.Ability to clean and organize work areas.Interpersonal skills for working with other employees.Available to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Bio-Security and Power washingFamiliarity with swine production The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
