Summary Xcel Energy is seeking a Distribution Design and Operations Intern for January 2024. The internship is up to 30 hours/week during the summer and 10-20 hours/week during the school year. The internship may be filled in Ashland, WI, Hudson, WI, Eau Claire, WI, or La Crosse, WI . Project Description This position aims to provide the student with a broad look at the distribution operations of the electrical and natural gas utility industry and for the student to provide support for the Design staff. The intern will aid the Design department staff with office support with some field work support. Work will consist of, but not be limited to filing, data entry, phone work, record retention, correspondence, spreadsheet development, and assisting Designers in the field. Requirements Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university. Recent graduates and students graduating in December 2023 are not eligible for this opportunity. Able to work up to 30 hours/week in the summer and up to 10-20 hours/week during the school year. Must live within a commutable distance from your assigned service center in Ashland, WI, Hudson, WI, Eau Claire, WI, or La Crosse, WI . Must possess a valid driver's license. Preferred The ability to commit to the internship for a minimum of a year or longer through graduation. Enrolled in a relevant degree program. Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
