Position Summary: This position is responsible for dispatching drivers and loads. Dispatchers promote the Company's commitment to safety and fairness to all employees and assist with maintaining and improving the company in the areas of the safety program, customer service, and driver well-being.
Dispatcher Principal Responsibilities: Strong attention to detail, bill customer loads, answer phones, audit driver logs. Advise drivers, schedule loads, dispatch trucks. Work with the shop in the coordination of maintenance of tractor-trailer units. Communicate with internal as well as external customers. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Two years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of DOT safety regulations including driver logs a must.
