Responsibilities
• Position the organization as a trusted resource in nonanimal safety and efficacy testing• Travel to and organize scientific conferences and meetings• Organize training opportunities for regulators and industry• Present and publish advisory comments, documents, and papers• Affect government agency regulations and practices• Interpret scientific literature and communicate its significance• Work with communications team to promote work through media• Provide strategic direction and supervision for congressional outreach• Build collaborative relationships with other organizations• Support fundraising for eliminating animals in regulatory testing
Requirements
• Master's or doctoral degree in toxicology, pharmacology, cell biology, or related field• Minimum of 5 years experience in regulatory testing and/or compliance• Thorough understanding of toxicology and pharmacology concepts• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and practices related to toxicological testing• Experience with OECD test guidelines and regulatory requirements is a plus• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Experience supervising a team
