Position Summary To lead and drive supply chain performance that meets or exceeds Customer and Company expectations. To develop, recommend and execute regional end to end Supply Chain strategies that support the global requirements of the business. To be financially accountable for the performance of the Supply Chain, including setting financial budgets and delivering results. To provide direction, build and develop a collaborative team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for developing and executing Global Sourcing and Supply Chain strategies Develops and cultivates mutually beneficial supplier relationships that ensure continuity of supply while maintaining unquestionable integrity. Identification of new technology potentially useful for Terrasource through supplier network Promotes a supplier environment where continuous improvement is the goal. Drive continuous improvement cycle of Supply Chain processes Responsible for developing and delivering the financial results for the Supply Chain functions. Be accountable for service levels and operating efficiencies while balancing financial objectives (Turns, PPV, Working Capital) Provides leadership and mentoring for a team of supply chain professionals. Lead projects to reduce cost, improve service, and reduce inventory from the supply chain Collaborate and influence improvement in cross-functional areas beyond your scope of control. Leads and supports the developing Global Sales and Operating Planning process. Directs the activities of warehousing, and control of materials globally from the receipt of requirements to the delivery of the finished product into finished goods inventory and drop ship products to customers. Optimize global transportation and logistics for the Supply Chain. In partnership with Human Resources, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications/Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain or Engineering. CPIM or CSCP APICS certification a plus 10+ years related experience in Supply Chain including global sourcing. Procurement and Subcontracts experience. Experience with driving transformational organization changes. Operational Excellence experience / Lean / 6-Sigma Entrepreneurial Spirit - takes initiative to problem-solve and provide innovative ideas and program improvements - proactively identifies and acts on problems before issues occur. Optimizing Talent Management and Building Organizational Capabilities Critical thinking skills and a track record of success in analyzing and resolving complex problems while prioritizing competing assignments and meeting established deadlines. Expert in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge in other Microsoft Office Suite applications. Travel Employee must be willing to travel 10-15% of the time.
