Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to oversee the operational aspects of our janitorial company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, preferably within the janitorial or facilities management industry, and possess excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
Responsibilities: Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of janitorial staff, including cleaners, supervisors, and coordinators, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures. Scheduling: Develop and manage cleaning schedules to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks, considering client requirements and staffing levels. Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of cleaning sites to assess cleanliness standards and ensure compliance with client expectations and industry regulations. Training and Development: Provide training and ongoing support to janitorial staff, including on cleaning techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and customer service. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment to support daily operations. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and soliciting feedback to continually improve service quality. Budget Oversight: Assist in the development and management of operational budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service excellence. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards, implementing protocols to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment for employees and clients. Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and address operational challenges, implementing solutions to overcome obstacles and optimize efficiency. Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance reviews for janitorial staff, providing feedback on performance, setting goals, and recognizing achievements. Requirements: Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the janitorial or facilities management industry. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Solid understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and operational management systems.
