(BAMSI) was incorporated on March 21, 1975 as South Shore Multi-Services Inc., under Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as a not-for-profit human service organization. On July 9, 1975, it changed its name to Brockton Area Multi-Services, Inc. It was formed for the development, coordination, and delivery of integrated human service programs, and according to its website, its mission is "to empower people and enrich their lives, through compassionate support and diverse services, one individual, one family a time." BAMSI employees up to 2,000 people and operates adult, child, and family services, assisting approximately 30,000 individuals each year in Worcester, Middlesex, Norfolk, Bristol, and Plymouth Counties.

Job Summary The Director will lead a team that inspires an organization-wide culture of learning, growth and belonging where BAMSI staff feel safe to learn, grow and thrive in their career. They are responsible for the design and execution of the learning experience across the agency; in support of the agency's learning and development strategy. They will partner closely with leaders and staff across the agency to support a complex and evolving environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities Collaborates with agency leadership to prioritize and implement learning programs in support of the strategic plan, using a model such as ADDIE (Assess, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate). Evaluates learning and development programs for efficacy, seeking ways to improve facilitator's skills, staff readiness and in turn, agency retention. Responsible for agency's new hire learning experience. Responsible for analyzing schedule and instructor availability to meet demand of instructor-led training. Develops learning and development programs for outside participants as a means of generating revenue and increasing organization visibility and credibility. Drives adoption around process change and learning initiatives such as BAMSI University. Project manages learning-focused conferences within the agency. Stays up to date on the learning industry's technologic advancements and evaluates potential impact to accessibility and adult learning comprehension. Remains curious to find process improvement opportunities and BAMSI University (Learning Management System) enhancements for decreased administration and increased automation. Facilitates course content to create a safe and engaging learning experience for participants. EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience required, preferably in Education, Training/Development, business or public administration or a related field. Valid driver's license in state of residence and own means of transportation required to travel to external training sites and other locations. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Skilled in project management and influencing others for deadline-management. Demonstrated competency of curriculum development and facilitation based in adult learning principles. Excellent written and spoken English skills required. Demonstrated ability to communicate and effectively interact with people across cultures, ranges of ability, genders, ethnicities, and races. 1- 3 years' experience in people management and team development, preferred. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, content authoring tools (Articulate 360 preferred), and learning management systems (Docebo preferred). Physical Requirements: The work environment is hybrid and will vary based on the needs of the project or training. Work is primarily sedentary and is performed in an office, home office, program or training classroom. Work requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Repetitive and substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual and verbal acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; providing instruction in classroom, field or virtual; extensive reading. BAMSI conducts as needed, job-related background checks (e.g., may include but is not limited to fingerprints, drug testing, TB testing, verification of employment history and/or reference checks) prior to employment.
