As a DevOps Engineer III, you will play a pivotal role in our buyflow operations team, supporting 27 applications, services, and APIs crucial for online ordering via spectrum.com and other customer-facing platforms. Your primary responsibilities will include detecting, triaging, and resolving issues to meet availability and mean time to repair goals. This role requires a strong understanding of Java, DevOps practices, Splunk, AWS, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot Java applications, including thread and heap analysis, in complex multi-application environments. Support AWS migration for on-premises applications, ensuring seamless transition and troubleshooting. Conduct Splunk log analysis to pinpoint application issues and develop adhoc queries as needed. Utilize AppDynamics to monitor and troubleshoot application health and performance. Understand and troubleshoot application to database interactions, including Oracle and Mongo databases. Support applications running in a Linux environment, including shell scripting for automation and performance optimization. Communicate effectively with technical and leadership audiences, providing clear and concise updates on issues and resolutions. Provide technical assistance to the team, responding to alarms, triaging issues, and escalating when necessary. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role. Proficiency in Java, AWS, Splunk, and AppDynamics. Strong understanding of Linux environments, shell scripting, and database interactions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences. Proven track record of working effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
