WE'RE HIRING! Designer / Prepress Artist Job Type: Full-time Harmonic Media: Harmonic Media is looking to add a Designer/Pre-Press Artist to our team. This is a full-time position.

What You Will Be Doing A day in the life of a Designer/Pre-Press Artist at Harmonic is never boring. This person will play an integral role in our design department and as a liaison to our other departments. The hours will fly by as you work to set up files for production, interact with and gather requirements from clients, send out proofs, create physical samples, and create designs to ensure the client's end goal is achieved. Creativity, collaboration, and attention to detail are required for this fun, fast-paced job. Please note, this position has an emphasis on print design and file set up.
Who You Are Our Designer / Prepress Artist will be excited to understand the entire production process from design to build to execution. This role offers great growth potential through interacting with all facets of Harmonic and understanding the big picture of the large format graphics and fabrication industry.
We are looking for an individual who shares in our values and who also has the following qualifications and skills:
Education and experience:
Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree, Certificate in Graphic Design or 2-3 years in pre-press or equivalent role Previous prepress and design experience preferred 1 year+ experience in providing excellent customer service Design and Pre-Press Skills:
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite Well-versed with Mac computers and programs Knowledge of design fundamentals, colors, and typography Familiarity with SketchUp or other rendering software preferred Professional Skills:
? Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
? Effective and timely written and verbal communication
? Strong attention to detail and ability to QA work
? Ability to follow processes while also thinking critically about your actions
? Highly organized individual
? Timeline-driven; track record of working with timelines and adhering to them
? Self-sufficiency with judgment to ask for help when needed
? Ability to and interest in interacting with customers and internal communication with other departments
