Compensation: Non-exempt Chloeta reserves the right to offer any candidate above or below the listed compensation amount based on experience or business needs. Duties/Responsibilities: Assist writing various cultural resources documents, assorted cultural resources tasks on government contracts, and BD group with vetting bid opportunities. May occasionally perform fieldwork as needed. Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with Federal historic preservation laws and regulations. Conduct reviews in accordance with the applicable Code of Federal Regulations. Conduct record searches and surveys to help identify cultural resources and areas of concern. Review project descriptions, drawings, maps, and photographs to assess the potential of the project to impact cultural resources. Produce cultural resource documents presenting research and analysis results. Provide status updates. Communicate and coordinate with staff within Chloeta, as well as local, state, tribal and/or territorial governments. Perform other tasks associated with ensuring projects comply with Federal historic preservation laws and regulations. Required Skills/Abilities: Extensive knowledge of federal cultural resources regulations and procedures, such as NHPA and NAGPRA. Experience working with historic buildings and structures and archaeological resources. State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and Tribal Historic Preservation Office (THPO) consultation experience preferred. Ability to monitor changes in federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Education and Experience: Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in archaeology, anthropology, historic preservation, historic architecture, or similar. Required: Two (2) years of in-field experience or two (2) years of in-field of expertise with a professional registration. Preferred: Experience with state Historic Preservation Offices (SHPO), Tribal Historic Preservation Offices (THPO) and Section 106 consultation License verification, education and certifications must be provided at the time of application and can be emailed to View email address on jobs.institutedata.com Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion This job operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
