Would you enjoy working outdoors in beautiful park settings along the Lower Colorado River in Central Texas? How about being a key player on a dynamic goal-oriented team helping to deliver our innovative summer camps for kids? If this sounds intriguing to you, please apply! We're looking for six seasonal workers to join our team. In this role, you'll help facilitate summer camp activities, develop and implement lesson plans and challenge course programs. Assist summer camp staff with setup and breakdown of programs and keeps camp areas clean and well organized. Responsibilities also include keeping recreation equipment such as rafts, kayaks, and climbing equipment clean and operational. Works with customers of all ages and abilities. This position develops competence by performing structured work assignments and receives instruction, guidance and direction from supervisor, manager and/or more experienced colleagues. Join us!You will be trusted to:- Be responsible for supervising day camp youth to include ensuring and prioritizing the safety and needs of the campers.- Implement camp curriculum and programs. Ensures the camp's activities and programs are run smoothly and efficiently.- Assist other summer camp staff with programs and activities.- Serve as a positive leader for campers while providing a fun and enriching experience for youth. Serves as an example for campers and others in punctuality, sportsmanship, teamwork, conservation and respect for nature.- Maintain respect each camper for their individuality while creating a culture of community, understanding and appreciation of nature through communication and teamwork.- Communicate effectively with appropriate parents or guardians, and other staff.You qualify with:- Must be currently enrolled and have completed one or more years of college and working towards or have received a degree in Recreation, Environmental Sciences, Outdoor Education or related field.
