Responsibilities
• Uphold the mission of the YMCA and demonstrate behaviors reflecting the YMCA values• Provide an awesome Y Experience by responding to inquiries and meeting member needs• Utilize YMCA resources to resolve member issues and provide first-call resolution• Meet/exceed established performance goals individually and as a team• Document all notes and actions taken in the appropriate system• Identify and escalate issues to supervisors when necessary• Nurture positive relationships with members, participants, volunteers, and staff• Adhere to scheduled shift start and break times• Maintain poise, tactfulness, diplomacy, and confidentiality• Embrace change and perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment• Superior listening, verbal, and written skills• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office• Commitment to mission-based work and positive communication• Ability to multitask, problem solve, and prioritize tasks• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends• Passion for the YMCA cause and meeting/exceeding performance goals
Key Skills Needed
• Superior listening, verbal, and written skills• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office
