Position Highlights: Client - Chemical Manufacturing Client Title - Business Process Design Consultant (Director Level) Location - Houston, Texas (Remore option available) Type - Long Term Contract (available for extensions) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or Doctoral degree is a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) in Research and Development interfacing with digital transformation, or related roles within the industry.
Understanding of petrochemical manufacturing processes and industry-specific challenges is a plus.
In-depth knowledge in creating and interpreting process design documents (like BFD, CFD, P&ID etc.) for chemical manufacturing facilities.
Project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with Agile working principles is a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative (global) team environment.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead digitalization projects from ideation to implementation, including resource allocation, budget management, and timelines. Document results and interface with technical resources. Projects range from proof-of-concept programs, pilot projects to implementation/execution projects. Typically, the projects are run in agile mode.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including technical teams,
research and development teams, customers, and partners, to co-create innovative solutions. Main external stakeholders are the T&I user teams.
Change Management: Responsible for developing and carrying out Organizational Change Management activities for projects such as, but not limited to, training, communications, governance and cultural adoption practices. Change management activities for project on global level, as well as local activities belonging to global digitalization portfolio.
Metrics and Reporting: Establish KPIs to measure the success of projects and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
Idea Generation: Foster a culture of innovation by collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize innovative ideas, processes, and solutions within the context of Digital Transformation in the Chemical Industry, and R&D environment.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with innovation initiatives and develop mitigation strategies.
