Bookkeeper / Billing Manager / HR Support
Stratfield Consulting, a dynamic and growing consulting firm, is seeking a Bookkeeping / Billing Manager / HR Support professional to join our team. This multifaceted role will encompass both bookkeeping responsibilities and billing management duties along with general human resources support. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in financial management tasks. This position reports to the Operations / HR Leader within Stratfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to contribute to the financial success of a reputable consulting firm.
Responsibilities:
1). Billing Management
· Execute the billing process for clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
· Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes with clients in a professional manner.
· Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate billing of services.
2). HR Support
· Support new employee onboarding including ensuring that all required documentation is completed
· Support employee questions about Stratfield employment policies and benefits
· Load new employees into the HR/Payroll system
· Assist with calculating incentive compensation
3). Bookkeeping
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online).
· Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
· Prepare and process payroll in a timely manner.
· Review and approve employee expense reports
· Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
· Generate financial reports for management review.
4). Communication & Collaboration
· Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
· Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes and improve financial performance.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
· Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks Online or similar platforms.
· Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Strong computer/MS Office skills
· Prior experience in billing management or accounts receivable preferred.
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
