Responsibilities
• Perform GC/MS and LC-MS/MS analysis, process data, and perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.• Prepare paperwork and analytical standards for standard preparation.• Conduct sample preparation activities such as solvent extraction and SPE extraction.• Summarize testing results in an understandable format, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations.• Collect and organize experimental data, perform literature searches, and prepare research reports.
Requirements
• Minimum of a B.S. in Chemistry or related field with 2 to 3 years of experience, or a M.S. in Chemistry or related field with 0 to 2 years of experience.• Knowledge and hands-on experience operating GC/MS and/or LC/MS instrumentation.• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.• Must be a U.S. citizen due to government security investigation requirements.• Beneficial to have experience with Agilent GC/MS, Agilent LC/MS/MS, Waters LC/MS/MS technology, and data acquisition software.• Willingness to work with highly toxic materials and assume responsibility for laboratory safety and security requirements.• Strong problem-solving aptitude, ability to meet client expectations, and manage multiple tasks under pressure.• Proficient PC skills and ability to learn new software and systems.
