Job Summary This is a generalist, hands-on position providing assembly, paint, warehousing and all other related duties associated with the production of turbine pumps. Ensures customer satisfaction is provided and maintained.
Job Description To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Read and interpret formal work orders and bills of materials Works from assembly drawings and layouts Assembles turbine pumps of some complexity Uses hand power tools to do miscellaneous duties as assigned Paints pumps using standard paint and equipment Fabricates wooden crates and skids for pumps and component packaging Marks and identifies crates per the order instructions; weights and dimensions Checks orders for accuracy and completeness Preforms warehousing duties: shipping/receiving/order picking, cycle counts Provides and complies with all warehouse safety and 5S clean up requirements Skills Required Good hand-eye coordination skills Must be able to read and understand written process Basic math and measurement skills Good communication skills Industrial lift truck/ Reach lift experience required with valid certificate Experience using shop lifting cranes and hoists Must be willing to follow all written and implied policies Must be able to work moderate overtime to meet seasonal/cyclical demands of the business Education/Training/Certifications High School Diploma / GED 2-3 years of shop related mechanical experience and aptitude Additional Requirements: Physical Demands: Heavy lifting (up to 35 lbs.) Ability to move within work cell as necessary Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility Must be able to sit and stand for extended period.
