Responsibilities
• Work one-on-one with clients to provide sighted guidance for daily tasks• Communicate visual cues and render visual descriptions to employees• Create and reformat documents into accessible formats• Maintain and support an electronic document filing system• Provide support in note-taking and administrative tasks• Address barriers and reprioritize tasks based on employee needs• Provide on-campus sighted guidance support in Amazon buildings• Navigate clients through physical spaces and assistive technologies• Stay updated on digital and physical accessibility tools• Participate in self-research, workshops, and networking for professional development
Requirements
• Associate degree or equivalent• 2-3 years' experience as an assistant or in relevant administrative support• Experience working with visually impaired or blind individuals preferred• Tech-savvy with a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word• Professional level verbal English and effective written communication skills• Experience with administrative/executive assistance, accessibility tools, or programming languages encouraged• Understanding of Slack, Amazon Chime, and Smartsheets• Able to work in a fast-paced corporate environment with a focus on customer service• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and consistently walk within a 1.5-mile radius• Ability to comprehend and communicate in English• Ability to see details at close range and understand speech of others• Comfortable working in a dog-friendly environment with over 1,000 dogs on campus
