Pay Range: $18 - $23 hourly Shift: 2:00 – 6:00p Monday - FridayPositions available at the following locations: Dover Middle SchoolAdditional hours available during school vacations, no school days, and during summer vacationPosition Summary:Under the direction of the School Age Director, the Site Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations running a Before and/or After School program at one of our program locations. The Site Director is responsible for the supervision, planning, and implementation of their program while acting as a role model for other staff and youth in the program. This role provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to grow with us!Responsibilities:Plan, organize and implement the daily program and curriculum at a site (before and/or after school hours)Adhere school site program to NH Child Care Licensing regulations and maintain appropriate filesImplement our Character Development curriculum components and role model Y core valuesSupervise, train and mentor site staff and assigned volunteersBuild and maintain strong working relationships with school/administrative staff and parentsAdditional hours available during no school days, vacation week programs, and during our summer campQualifications:Must be at least 20 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have at least one of the following:A bachelor's degree in elementary education or recreation, awarded by a regionally accredited college or university;A minimum of an associate's degree in child development, education, recreation or other field of study focused on children awarded by a regionally accredited college or university;Certification of successful completion of training as a recreation director plus 1000 hours experience working with children in a licensed childcare program, recreation program or elementary school;A total of 12 credits in child development, education, recreation or other field of study focused on children from a regionally accredited college plus 1000 hours of experience working with childrenCurrent certification as an educator by the department of educationExperience working with children totaling 2000 hours and:Current certification as a Para II educator by the department of education; orBoth of the following:Documentation of enrollment in a course for at least 3 credits in child development, education, recreation or other field of study focused on children; and a written plan on file for completion of at least 3 additional credits as specified; andWithin 12 months of the date the individual begins working as a Site Director, documentation of successful completion of a total of at least 6 credits as specified aboveBenefits:Flexible hours and team environmentCareer growth and paid professional developmentStaff receive a free Y membershipRetirement plans available (for 18 +)Tuition discounts to some NH and online schoolsPaid time off
