Position Title: Adjunct Lecturer of Anthropology
Unit Mission Statement: The Department of Anthropology at William & Mary offers courses in the four fields of the discipline, including archaeology, bioanthropology, linguistics, and cultural anthropology. A strong undergraduate program completes a PhD program in Historical Archaeology and Historical
Anthropology. Department strengths include comparative colonial archaeology, African Diaspora studies, and Native America.
Position Summary: The Department of Anthropology at William & Mary is recruiting a pool of persons for possible part-time adjunct teaching positions. This pool will be accessed ONLY when an opening arises. Your credentials will remain act ive as long as the pool position is available but no more than one year. After one year, if you are still interested, you must reapply to the most current adjunct pool.
Candidates interested in adjunct teaching positions should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching evaluations (if available), and a list of three references with contact information . In your cover letter, please specify those courses that you are qualified to offer and would be interested in teaching.If you have previously sub mitted an application for an instructional position at William & Mary via the online system your existing application documents can be easily transferred to this position pool. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. The review of applications is ongoing. Required Qualifications: Advanced degree in Anthropology or a closely related field desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
The candidate must demonstrate expertise in archaeology and /or Anthropology. PhD is preferred.
