Accounts Payable

Job Description:

Amgen is seeking an entry-level Accounts Payable professional to join our team in San Diego, California. The Accounts Payable position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to processing and paying invoices, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities:- Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents- Prepare and process payments to vendors- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies- Assist with month-end closing procedures- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders as needed- Assist with ad hoc financial projects as assigned

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field- 1 year of relevant experience in accounts payable or a similar role- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Resilient and reliable personality traits- Strong persuasion and people management skills- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
