Accountant - Remote Work

Job Description:

NextEra Energy is seeking a dedicated and resilient Accountant to join our team on a part-time, remote basis in Seattle, Washington. As an entry-level Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in financial reporting, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports- Assist in analyzing financial data and trends- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations- Assist in budgeting and forecasting- Prepare and process journal entries- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies- Assist with audits and tax preparation- Provide support to the accounting team as needed

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field- 1 year of experience in accounting- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software- Planning and persuasion skills- Dedicated and resilient personality traits
