If you join us, you'll take a journey that matters.We're hiring a Production Supervisor!Our Interior Systems Division is looking for aProduction Supervisorfor its manufacturing facility in Spring Hill to supervise and develop the departments production team members in a safe and effective manner.You'll work on challenges that matter!This job will require you to:Make sure QCD indicators reflect customer expectationsDefine, together with the supervisors of the other shifts and the UAP manager, QCDP targets for the GAPs (improvement versus actual situation): ppm, pph, TRS, absenteeism, number of accidents, improvement ideas…Monitor performance during the shift and report accurate data at the end of the shiftManage resources to reach results: adapt headcount to volume, etc.React in case of a problem: take care of immediate containment, call support functions, build corrective  action plansRevie daily line KATA with GAP Leader/operators.Replace GAP leader when necessaryDrive actions for improvement:Know team problems, seek feedbacksDefine area for performance improvementsDrive teamwork and problem-solving activities, lead Problem Solving Groups and workshops (5S, Hoshin, TPM, SMED, 8 Quality Basics…)Drive improvement ideas generation and implementationEnsure audits of standardized work are conducted by GAP leaders on a daily basis and ensure corrective actions are taking place.Audits once a week with each GAP Leader the respect of standardized workAims to devote 70% of his/her time to improvement actionsDefine threshold and escalation of reaction modes to problems within his/her supervisory zonePeople ManagementLeading by example in terms of rigor and discipline:Assure daily managementPermanent presence on the Shop floor: daily contact with all team members, close management of the linesManage headcount: plan the day before people allocation for the next day, plan also on a weekly basisManage timekeeping in eTIME dailyCoach GAP Leaders and team members in how to perform their roleSupport and help to fix problemsEnsure discipline and rigor (work wear, break times, working hours…)Ensure the respect of HSE instructions, policies and proceduresDevelopment of the teamParticipate in the selection and recruitment of line employeesEnsure proper induction of new operators on the lineBuild training plan to increase team autonomy; ensure training and coaching of team membersManage annual performance interviews for all team membersPlan development of the people (validation and support from UAP manager and Human Resources Manager when appropriate): training, job evolutionValidation of polyvalenceEnsure recognition upon individual performance: take part of the decision processEnsure proper flow of information to and from the team: top 5 with GAP Leaders, regular information meetings, rapid cascade of critical information and of messages from managementHealth, Safety and Environment and working conditionsEnsure full respect of HSE rules and regulationsResponsible for immediate stopping of a line in case of HSE risksLead HSE core teams and drive implementation to followDrive improvement of working conditions and ergonomicsSupport commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.Conform to requirements established in Spring Hill Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.Ensure members in assigned area(s) of responsibility conform to relevant EMS requirements.Support environmental programs to achieve objectives and targets.Team workEnsure transparent timely communication with UAP manager and internal customersArrive before start of shift in order to ensure transfer of all information from the supervisor of previous shiftParticipate with supervisory colleagues to improvement of UAP performanceThe ideal candidate…To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:Knowledge / Skills:Operational knowledge of production methods (Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, TPM…)Strong sense of teamworkStrong communication skillsProven track record in upholding safety and quality standardsEducation / Experience:Bachelor's degree or 5 years Manufacturing Supervisor Experience in a JIT environment2  or more years of manufacturing/production experience2-3 years of supervisory experienceProficient computer skills including Word and Excel; Advanced preferredWe believe people matter!Forvia Faurecia is anequal opportunity employer.
