Gpac is currently partnering with a truck dealer who both works on and sells semi-trucks. This company provides a full-service shop performing work ranging from alignments, to body work, mechanic work, frame work, etc. Right now, they are in need of an experienced T railer Technician .Trailer Technician Responsibilities:Performs basic diagnostics and both major and minor repairsPerforms air and electrical system repairsDiagnose and provide recommendations on repairsEfficient worker able to deliver quality repairs in a timely fashion.Maintains a clean work area and accurately records work progress and hours of all work performed.Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.Use all required Safety Equipment.Perform Inspections on Trucks per Instruction and determine if additional safety or service work is needed.Must have own tools.Perform work efficiently and accurately.Communicate with Parts Department for needed parts.Document work performed daily via labor tickets.Trailer Technician Qualifications:3-5 years mechanical background in heavy-duty trucking industry or similarAbility to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipmentProficient knowledge of mechanical and electrical systemsAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.Proficient oral and written communication skills.Ability to lift at least 100 lbs.High School Diploma or equivalent experience requiredA valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.Cummins or Navistar Certifications are preferred.Welding and Fabrication Experience Highly Preferred.Benefits401k, 401k MatchingDental/Health InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee DiscountFlexible Spending Account- PTORetirement PlansTuition ReimbursementGrowth Opportunities+ moreSchedule: Mon-Fri, 8 hour shift, Day Shift.If you are ready to apply, please submit your confidential resume or call All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
