Job summary
Alliant Energy is seeking an Accountant I to join their Tax department.Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing tax records and reports.This is a hybrid position, with remote work and occasional office visits.

Responsibilities
• Assisting in the preparation of tax records, returns, reports, and other regulated materials.• Analyzing and reviewing tax records and reports under close supervision.• Preparing source input, parameter tables, and other details of the tax accounting system.• Making recommendations for tax accounting adjustments and procedural changes.• Researching issues related to utility tax information and generally accepted accounting principles.• Performing miscellaneous tasks related to tax rules and regulations.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree Emphasis in business, accounting, or related area preferred.• Knowledge of common accounting software applications preferred.• Understanding of tax depreciation methods and reconciliation of book/tax basis differences.• Residence in Wisconsin is required.
